We welcome two empowering women to our upcoming national program in January 2025 as #StillSheRose keynote speakers for Miss Earth USA delegates.
UmaSofia Srivastava | 2023 Miss Teen USA
In 2023, UmaSofia proudly became the first Miss Teen USA national titleholder of Mexican-Indian American descent. Currently a high school senior in New Jersey, she is pursuing college and aims to become a United Nations ambassador one day. At just age 16, UmaSofia authored and illustrated The White Jaguar, a book created to inspire people of all ages. Through the Bridge of Books Foundation, she donated 1,000 books to inner-city kids in New Jersey. Recently, she was honored at a ceremony in Los Angeles with a Shine Global Resilience “Global Youth Activist” award.
Shelby Brown | 2024 International Ms USA
As Founder of "Beyond the Pretty Face," Shelby empowers young women to redefine the meaning of beauty and provides them with the skills to develop confidence. Her book available on Amazon is entitled, "Beyond the Pretty Face: A Coloring Book with Affirmations for Confidence, Self-Love, and Redefining the Meaning of Beauty.” Shelby is a highly recognized model appearing on several billboards and runways, recently named "2022 Model of the Year" by Carolina’s Fashion Awards. As the reigning Ms USA, she continues to be an avid supporter for Special Olympics, Autism Speaks, and the Autism Society of America, and was recently honored as iHeartRadio’s "Mentor on the Rise."
We thank these incredible role models and talented pageant industry leaders for joining us at the upcoming national activities!
ABOUT STILL SHE ROSE
Launched in May 2022 following the tragic death of Cheslie Kryst, Still She Rose is a wellness program for leaders, women and teens in the pageant industry. Funded by the B4ACUSA Foundation, Still She Rose program initiatives are open to all pageant community members and include wellness ambassadors from a variety of pageant organizations. The ROSE is symbolic of the spirit that grows within each of us when proper care and attention is applied. Together, we can encourage wellness through self care, positive body image, renewed self esteem and affirmation of one's identity beyond pageantry. We aim to engage in a conversation of support, honesty, reflection and awareness, in order to promote wellness as the foundation of the pageant industry. Because each of us can say, She Struggled; and Still She Rose.
